Hugh Jackman Took a Pay Cut So the New Wolverine Movie Could Be Rated R

Hugh Jackman was so hyped to make the new Wolverine movie bad-ass that he actually took a PAY CUT so the studio would agree to make it R-rated.

Superhero flicks always aim for a PG-13, so all the kids can see them. An R rating cuts into potential box office, which is why the studio would want to cut costs to release a more adult version.

But a reporter who saw 40 minutes of footage at a recent film festival said it’s totally worth it. According to him, it features, quote, “full-on berserker Wolverine and more F-bombs than ‘Lebowski.’”

The movie is called “Logan,” which is Wolverine’s actual name, and it comes out March 3rd.

An R-rated superhero movie might not be as much of a gamble as it was a year ago, thanks to “Deadpool.” Speaking of which, Ryan Reynolds wants a Deadpool / Wolverine flick, which would be AWESOME.

He says, “What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my Internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.”
