It’s pretty much accepted now that eating carbs makes you gain weight. That’s bad news for, you know, every food that tastes good.
However, a new study of more than 23,000 people found that pasta doesn’t actually make you chubby. In fact, the researchers found that people who ate pasta were skinnier than people who didn’t.
The researchers say people who ate pasta were more likely to be on the Mediterranean diet, which includes lots of fruits, vegetables, fish, and whole grains. So even if all the carbs in pasta might be bad, if you’re having it in moderation with a healthy diet, you probably don’t have to worry about it too much. (The Telegraph)
